*sigh*

I am missing a 4th year at Burning Man while so many of my Burner friends make the long trek to the big dust. I’m sure much has grown and changed since 2005 and I wonder how I will feel about these changes when (and if) I next attend. Will it seem too commercial? Will the community spirit still be the treasured experience it was for me back then? Or perhaps the Burn will be relatively the same but I will have changed significantly. Perhaps I will find out next year. For now, I will enjoy the stunning photography of other people’s experiences: http://images.burningman.com/

A friend filled me in on a cool knitting & crochet site called Ravelry. It’s free to sign up and you can check out the knitting patterns for a multitude of projects. What I like is that other users post photos of their completed projects, so you can see what a pattern looks like when knitted and worn by ‘real people’.
